Lion zone is the third exhibit zone in bus zone, and there is one group of ferocious zoophagous African lions that originally lived in African steppe. They have the gregarious living with one lion and more lionesses. African lion belongs to Carnivora and is the biggest in cat-like animals, and they have their strong body and mane from head to neck, the female looking smaller.
In order to keep the wild living ability to survive, we feed beast with live food. The females always attack together to asphyxiate the quarry with teeth at throat, while in the attacking, the male one seldom participates but to enjoy firstly. Attacking live animal looks dangerous and exciting; so many visitors are expressed deeply. Lion has a strong idea of class, and male lions always fight to get the king position. The new lion king will kill the children of the former king, so that the female lions will generate offspring for him. African lion can produce all the year.
There are 30 adult lions and 14 young lions in lion zone. In this exhibit there is no noise nor pollution, nor the pressure of cement, just the green and quiet nature. For every visitor in bus, passing the wild forest with wild animal is one kind of astonishing and exciting experience. The strong African lions with long black-brown ¨Cmane in the neck and shoulder always make you freeze.
