Lesser panda belongs to Ailurus of Procyonidae of Carnivora in Mammalia. It is fat and looking like cat. It weighs about 5 kg and the length is between 40 cm and 65cm. Its back is red brown and it has white spots in eyepits and cheeks, also it has white color around mouth and white beard. There are brown and white veins in the puff and long tail.
Lesser panda mainly lives in the mixed forest and bamboo with the attitude between 1600 meters and 3800 meters, and sleeps in the cave made of dead tree or rocks near rivers in the night. They like playing 5 together in certain fixed area and also they like water. Their favorite foods are bamboo leaf, wild fruits and moss; sometimes they eat birds, eggs, insects and other sweet food. They have dense hair at the bottom of their feet, so they can walk in the wet slippery forest or rocks. They are quiet but they will shout like cat when they are angry. They are deft and good at climbing, in the good weather, they like sitting on the rocks or trees to enjoy the sunshine and using their tongues and front claws to make up. The puff and hairy tail can be used to be pillow or quilt.
There are 7 female and 4 male lesser pandas at present, and 16 lesser pandas have been reproduced since 1996. at first sight, you will be conquered by their na?ve and funny looking, it makes you to have impulsion to hug them. You can have a feeling of looking for wild animals in jungles because of in the day time they always climb to the branches to have a rest or evade enemy.
