Macaw was produced in the region of America tropic, and there are about 18 species. Macaw belongs to Psittaciformes and Psittacidae. MacawĄŻs color is the most beautiful in big parrots. They are famous for their long tail in Psittacidae, the hook-looking peak is beautiful as the same as beautiful crown parrot. Macaws like fruit and they can break the shell of fruit with the strong peak and eat the pulp with tongue. They have no hair in the face and look red when they are exciting. The male one looks like the female one. Macaws can receive training easily and have a good relationship with other parrots, while sometime they also bite other animals or people. Macaw can live 65 years old. They can imitate tender voice, in most cases, they can scream as the other parrots.
Now there are 16 macaws and 24 blue-and-yellow macaws in SWAP, among them, 5 blue-and yellow macaws were generated in 2003. Well-trained parrots can stand on the shoulders of visitors to take photos.
