Since built, SWAP has been insisting the science development view, proposing the strategy of ¡°develop park with technology¡±, making clear the direction of science development, increasing scientific investment, building special technology training system, doing science research, proposing the objects and plan of science result transformation, promoting the progress of science and accelerating the science result transformation.

1 the statistics of the papers of technological staffs in SWAP
130 papers have been written, among them,117 were published in domestic? publications(40 +177), about 30 papers were published in key publications, such as ¡°ACTA ZOOLOGICA SINICA¡±, ¡°ACTA THERIOLOGIGA SINICA¡±£¬¡± JOURNAL OF EAST CHINA NORMAL UNIVERSITY¡±, ¡° CHINESE JOURNAL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE¡±. SWAP participated the translation of ¡°Cranes: Their Biology, Husbandry, and Conservation¡± organized by CAZG. SWAP had published¡± SWAP papers collection¡± No 2(published by Shanghai Science propaganda publishing house¡±. Special papers have been read more than 10 times in national meetings. About ten papers have been awarded excellent papers

2. science research report
Since 10 years ago the opening of SWAP, technological staffs in SWAP have been threw themselves into scientific research, worked hard to transform the scientific research, and these showed the that technology serve for production. The supervision units have established 9 projects and 360000 yuan has been invested by the scientific fund.

2.1Develop scientific research and transform the technology
SWAP combines technological staffs with first line workers to develop scientific research and transform technology, creating economic effect. in the past ten years, 9 projects have been established by the permission of superior.

2.1.1.¡° The breeding research of Shanxi Wikipedia on the condition of sporadic breeding¡± £¨1997.01£­2001.04£©( the project of shanghai virescence administration bureau). 11 papers published on national and provincial publications conclude the breeding regulations in the condition of semi-sporadic breeding of Shanxi Wikipedia, in the recent years, 23 Shanxi Wikipedias have survived. Through the research of shanghai scientific technology information institute, through the comparison and analysis of literature, this result is the advanced international (registered No 20010542)

2.1.2.¡°Snub-nosed monkey group breeding research¡± £¨1997.4£­2002£©(project of shanghai construction committee), breeding snub-nosed monkey group environment in semi-sporadic condition, breeding behavior research and management and the procedure of breeding and ordinary immunity were finished. 22 snub-nosed monkeys survived from 1977 to 2005 and 11 papers were published. Also we made progress on the research of snub-nosed monkey psychology and ecology, this progress was organized by Beijing university and Chinese academy of science.

2.1.3.¡° manual breeding research of cheetah¡± £¨1997£­2002£©( project of Shanghai Virescence Administration Bureau). The research of breeding management and ecology, the measurement of psychology index and cure of disease has been finished; 12 papers have been published, among them ¡° the measurement of psychology index of leopard¡± has been awarded by shanghai Virescence bureau, 2005£­2006. All the above projects are reporting to shanghai government to be city level projects.

2.1.4.¡° the research on the cure of parasite in semi-sporadic breeding and mixed breeding animals¡± £¨2001.8£­2003.12£© ( project of Shanghai Virescence Administration Bureau). 6 papers have been published.

2.1.5.¡°the research on the breeding of transform of ?Eld's Deer¡± £¨2001.1£­2003.12£©, ( project of Shanghai Virescence Administration Bureau). This project is in the course of execution, and 2 papers were published. 19 young Eld's Deers survived in the past 10 years, and 6 were the third generation, it is the first time of Eld¡¯s deer to live in Yangzi River.

2.1.6. ¡° the research on the breeding of Greater Flamingo in the condition of semi-sporadic breeding¡± £¨2001.1£­2006.12£©( project of Shanghai Virescence Administration Bureau). This project is in the course of execution, and 4 papers were published. In 2000 and 2001, 2 greater flamingos were man-hatched, although only survived 21 and 74 days individually, we got valuable research methods and technology. In 2005, ¡°A Ya¡± was totally man-hatched, after man training, A Ya returned to group. This technology is the first in China and advanced international.
Based on general manager fund, combined with the real condition of our park and after 2-3 years former research, ¡° the research on the breeding of Greater Flamingo in the condition of semi-sporadic breeding¡±, ¡°the research on the breeding of transform of ?Eld's Deer¡± and ¡° the research on the cure of parasite in semi-sporadic breeding and mixed breeding animals¡± were chosen and established.

2.1.7.¡° wild animal daily food information research¡± £¨2004.8-200.5.8£©( project of Forest Group). We have built the nutrition ingredient database according to the characters of wild animal and cooperated with technology center of Shanghai Construction Group, in the cooperation; we have measured the wild animal daily food nutrition ingredient and made the software. 1 paper was published and this project was taken the key projects of Shanghai Construction Group?

2.1.8. ¡°The breeding research of White Rhinoceros¡± £¨2004.8¡ª¡ª2007.2£©( Forest Group project). The research on the rule of rut of male an female white rhinoceros, the analysis of white rhinoceros daily food nutrition ingredient and the contrast of breeding condition have been finished, 1 paper was published.

2.1.9.?The man breeding of the Crane
There are 15 kinds of Crane in the world, and 9 distribute in China, at present 6 kinds are in SWAP. We take sporadic breeding in SWAP, in case of safety; in 1998 we organized 2 technologic staffs to Being and Shen Yang to learn artificial fertilization, at the same year, we carried out artificial fertilization, artificial hatch and artificial breeding, getting good result. Until 2001, we had trained some staffs for artificial fertilization, and transformed this technology. From 1998 to 2006, 3 kinds of cranes, totally 51 cranes, were artificially fertilized, breed and trained.

2.1.10. Rare animal breeding
From 1996 to March 2006, in SWAP, 104 northeast tigers and 147 African lions had survived, and in 1997, Asia elephant was married to Hangzhou, in 1999 and 2005, two young elephants were born. Also the following rare animals had survived: 6 white storks, 58 whooper swans, 6 giraffes, 60 brindled gnu blue wildebeests, 95 ring-tailed lemurs, 128 quirrel monkeys.

2.1.11. Building the forage base and improving the breeding
From 2000, using spare land to grow pasture, many years¡¯ hay? feeding was changed, and many rare animals can eat fresh pasture. In 2002, we built small forage making factory in SWAP, from then on, we can change the feeding as we want.

2.1.12. Change the rubbish into cowry and use comprehensively
The project ¡°the research on animal complex castoff¡± was established in 1998, and was transformed into productivity in 1999. The products were sold to many companies in shanghai. We use the animal complex castoffs to transplant big trees and build greenbelt, in this way, the environment of SWAP are totally changed.

2.2 Establish general manager research fund
In 1999, general manager research fund was established according to the condition of SWAP to improve the research projects. At the same time, many research staffs were benefited.
The projects financed by general manager fund: 1 flamingo artificial breeding; 2 the research on the breeding of transform of Eld¡¯s Deer; 3 the artificial breeding of sporadic crane; 4 the research on the cure of parasite in semi-sporadic breeding and mixed breeding animals. All these projects got good result the same year.? The first time, 4 flamingos were artificially breed( 10 eggs, 5 hatched and 4 survived), until 2003, 13 flamingos were artificially breed and 3 papers were published. Since the establishing of general manager fund, 2 or 3 park level projects were established every year. In 2001, 3 projects were financed by shanghai Virescence Administration Bureau, including ¡°the research on the breeding of transform of ?Eld's Deer¡± and ¡°the research on the cure of parasite in semi-sporadic breeding and mixed breeding animals¡±

2.3?improve the breeding, protection and resume of rare animals

2.3.1using SPARKS, PM 2000 and the rare animal pedigree to analyze the pedigree of our park, based on the structure of present wild animal, we should protect and resume the following animals: northeast tiger, African lion, red -crowned crane, snub-nosed monkey£¬ Ring-tailed Lemur£¬Chimpanzee£®

2.3.2We strengthen the group and species breeding of rare wild animal, specially for Asia elephant, cheetah, flamingo, white tiger and white lion and make success.
